Dr. James Taylor grew up in between southwestern Pennsylvania and West Virginia.  He received his doctorate from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008.  He spent his first couple years in general practice in the suburbs of Chicago and Knoxville, TN.  He moved to Morgantown, WV where he took on ownership of the general practice and partnership of the emergency hospital he worked at.  After nearly a decade, he sold his successful practices and he and his wife transitioned to Sarasota, Florida to bring them closer to her family.  His interests are emergency medicine, trauma, general surgery, and internal medicine.  He and his wife, Stacy spend their time with their 3 dogs - Daphney, Lola, and Alice - and 3 cats - Trillian, Early and Rusty.  They enjoy traveling and spending time in their South Carolina home.
